How do Endovelle tablets work?
I wonder how it works that I don't have a period with Endovelle. Why? My body is no longer ovulating? How does it work, that during the bite I do not have, and then after weaning it is to magically come back.

To @Joanna: Yes, you are right. Endovelle is not a drug registered for hormonal contraception and I apologize if my answer was understood as such. The inaccuracy is due to the fact that Endovelle contains the same substance as some of the combined contraceptive pills (dienogest) and can therefore be expected to have a similar effect on ovulation to that of contraception. In addition, it should be remembered that due to the effect of Endovelle similar to hormonal contraception, when using this drug, the use of hormonal contraception should be discontinued and the form of pregnancy prevention should be changed to non-hormonal.

If contraception is not used, the level of estrogen and progesterone that your body naturally produces changes during the cycle and it depends on whether and when ovulation occurs. When using Endovelle, you take substances similar to estrogen and progesterone in the form of a tablet. Artificial change in the level of these hormones in the body through the use of contraception causes inhibition of ovulation and other additional effects hindering fertilization. This is, for example, a change in the consistency of mucus, which makes it difficult for sperm to reach the egg. The moment you stop taking The Endovelle pills, the menstrual cycle will be regulated not by hormones from the contraceptive pill, but by hormones naturally produced by your body, which is why ovulation will return.
