The doctor prescribed us into the nose for a persistent green runny nose. On the leaflet it is written that the application is only to the eye. Is it safe to give a 7 year old child to the nose?

Your doctor may recommend using the drug by a different route than the one described in the leaflet and it is called "off label" treatment, which you will read more about here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/leczenie-off-label-poza-wskazaniami Xiflodrop drops contain a substance with antibacterial activity, which may prove to be an effective way to treat a bacterial runny nose. Clinical studies have shown that the use of moxifloxacin (the active ingredient of the drug) in children and adolescents, including newborns, is safe. If you are not sure whether this medicine was to be prescribed to your child, contact your doctor.
