Hello. Is it possible to use Fostex 100-6 in adolescents aged 13 years? The daughter has shortness of breath, and suspected asthma, can I safely give her this drug?

Fostex is a prescription drug and should be given if your doctor has so recommended. The documentation for Fostex indicates that it is intended for adults. This is due to the fact that there is a small amount of data on the use of the preparation by people under 18 years of age. However, these data, which are available, indicate that Fostex does not differ in its safety and efficacy profile from already on the market products containing formoterol and beclomethasone dipropionate as individual components. The doctor, based on his best knowledge and experience, can prescribe such a drug beyond the provisions contained in the leaflet (for example, regarding age), however, he should explain to parents why he prescribes the drug as part of the so-called "off-label" therapy and why in his opinion it is the best solution.
