Can I buy Cardura XL 4 mg instead of Doxonex 4 mg?
I have doxonex 4 mg saved. However, I would like to pick up a replacement for Cardura XL also 4mg. Is this possible?

No, it is not possible to switch from Doxonex 4 mg to Cardura XL 4 mg due to the mechanism of release of the active substance. Both drugs contain as an active substance - doxazosin, in the same dose, however, they differ in pharmaceutical form. Cardura XL contains modified release tablets, i.e. the active substance of the release is gradually as needed. Doxonex, on the other hand, is a drug that contains doxazosin in the form of ordinary tablets. Other substitutes for Doxonex are available in pharmacies, e.g. Cardura (without xl), Apo-Doxan 4, Doxanorm, Doxar, Kamiren or Zoxon 4.
