I have a question, I have been using Evra contraceptive patches for over a year. I used the patches according to the leaflet, but that week I pulled the patch off to get a period. On Monday I should stick a new one, but I'm still waiting for an E-prescription and I haven't been able to get it before that time (today is Wednesday). Should I wait a month and stick a new patch according to the first day of menstruation as it was at the beginning or glue this patch on the day of obtaining the prescription?

Since the interruption in the use of the patches was longer than 7 days, the protection was significantly reduced. You can stick the first patch from the new packaging as soon as you can obtain and fulfill the prescription. Sticking the patch on any day of the cycle (other than the first day of menstruation) will not provide protection immediately and additional protection in the form of a condom should be used for a minimum of 7 days from the first patch from the new package. If intercourse has taken place in the last 7 days, there is a risk of pregnancy. Then, before starting to use the patches from the new packaging, it is worth doing a pregnancy test that you will buy at the pharmacy.
