Is contraceptive protection maintained if I vomit after taking Triquilar?
He has been taking triquilar contraceptive pills for a long time. Yesterday I took 7 tablets and after 2 hours vomiting occurred. I took the tablet at 10 p.m., in the morning at 7 a.m. after reading the leaflet I took another one. Is contraception preserved? The day before I had intercourse, is the effectiveness of the tablets still preserved?

If vomiting occurs within 3-4 hours of taking the contraceptive pill, contraceptive protection may decrease. In addition, your situation concerned the seventh tablet of the drug, in which case, if there was intercourse within 7 days preceding the non-intake of the dose, the possibility of pregnancy should be taken into account. You have followed the scheme contained in the leaflet of the drug, for the next 7 days you should use an additional method of contraception, e.g. a condom.
