Should spotting during the use of Orlifique be worrying?
Hello, I have been taking Orlifique tablets for a year. I did not notice any symptoms that bothered me, but for several days I have been experiencing brown mucus. The last intercourse was on Tuesday (May 3) and since then such a discharge has appeared. I should have spotting from withdrawal only in 10 days, is it a reason to worry if I have brown mucus long before my period?

During the use of a hormonal drug, irregular bleeding or spotting may occur, especially in the first months of using the drug. After an adaptation period of 3 cycles, it is possible to assess the regularity of bleeding. In your case, the adaptation period has ended, which is why the occurrence of spotting with a non-physiological color is an indication for gynecological consultation for diagnosis.
