In response to the great interest of patients, a non-reimbursed drug Ozempic from parallel imports appeared in pharmacies. The availability of the drug in pharmacies can be checked here: Ozempic 0.5 mg https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/99258/ozempic-iniekcja/apteki?pvid=275329 Ozempic 1 mg https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/99258/ozempic-iniekcja/apteki?pvid=275351

Theoretically, 4 doses containing 0.25 mg will give 1 mg of the drug. However, in practice, we do not know what the release of the drug from the subcutaneous tissue will look like. Ozempic contains semaglutide, which is given once a week and the dose is released over several days. There is no data or official manufacturer's recommendations that clearly state that you can use the drug in this way. I have not reached the comparison saying that 1mg will be released in the same way as 4 x 25mg. On the other hand, in the current situation - reduced availability of the drug - this may be the only solution to be able to continue therapy. There is no clear solution, so in my opinion it is best to consult the doctor who conducts your treatment. Perhaps he will recommend administering a dose of 1mg using several applications, and perhaps in such a situation he will change the preparation, e.g. to an oral form. In any case, it will be a person who has contact with you if necessary and knows how the treatment has been carried out so far.
