Are there equivalents of Glucophage XR 1000 with smaller tablets?

Since I was a child, I have problems swallowing large tablets. Recently, the doctor prescribed me the drug Glucophage xr 1000. As far as I know, they cannot be divided? Is there any substitute that comes in smaller tablets?

I had a similar problem and the doctor prescribed me a dose of 500 mg and I should take two tablets, instead of one 1000. This is probably the only way out

Glucophage XR 1000 are prolonged-release tablets and should not be divided into smaller pieces. Additionally, do not crush or chew the tablets. These are white or whitish, oblong or bilaterally convex tablets.
