The new packaging is to be available on the market from 28.04.22. At the same time, the manufacturer ensures that the active substance - levothyroxine sodium has not changed, and the change of excipients does not affect the quality, safety of use and effectiveness of the drug, it is aimed at improving the durability of the drug. The graphic appearance of the packaging has also been changed, so that patients are aware that they are already using the new version of the drug. The new Letrox should be taken in the same way as for the previous product. People with thyroid cancer, cardiovascular diseases, pregnant women and children and the elderly - should seek medical advice. In this group of patients, for example, laboratory blood tests may be necessary to assess the body's response to treatment. The results of the tests will assess whether it will be necessary to adjust the dose of the drug again. It is important that the patient who starts therapy with the new Letrox does not return to the previous version of the product.
