Is 2 x 4 ml of Klacid suspension per day the right dose for a child aged 3.5 years with a weight of 14 kg?
Hi the doctor prescribed for a 3.5 year old corki which weighs 14 kg atybiotk Klacid 250 mg / 5 ml, 2x of 4ml is this a good dose for her age and weight? I have doubts after reading the leaflet and because the prescription was issued to me not for a child.

In some infections, the doctor may order higher doses of the drug (15 mg / kg body weight 2 times a day), which means that a child weighing 14 kg could be given up to 4.2 ml x 2 per day. Personally, I do not think that it would be a good idea to give a child a drug in such a dose. My 3 year old has it prescribed and clearly writes with children with a body weight from 12kg to 19kg dose of 2.5ml 2x per day.
