On Monday I had an acute gout attack, on Wednesday the doctor prescribed me roticox and milurit.troche brought pain relief, but the swelling does not go down for 2 days and I can not walk. I read that milurit with an acute attack of gout is set aside. Maybe that's why this swelling does not want to go down? Roticox I have to take 1 time a day 60mg, but it is not enough, because already in the afternoon the pain returns. How much can I maximize the dose. When should swelling let go?

Please be patient. The ailments of acute arthritis disappear gradually, within a few days to two weeks. After the first attack of gout, there is most often a period of withdrawal of the symptoms of the disease. If the right therapy is not implemented, there are further attacks that become more frequent and occupy subsequent joints. Therefore, the doctor's conduct is correct and is designed to reduce the development of the disease. During an acute attack of gout, Milurit should not be discontinued. Please accept the prescribed therapy. Milurit is the most commonly used preparation that inhibits the production of uric acid. According to the Safety Data Sheet, during acute gout arthritis, the dose may be increased to 120 mg once a day. During clinical trials in patients with acute gout, Roticox was administered for 8 days. Please note that any modifications in gout therapy should be made after consultation with the attending physician who has been acquainted in detail with your state of health. The best way to avoid gout is to maintain a healthy weight and reduce meat and alcohol consumption. If possible, drugs that increase uric acid levels (e.g. diuretics) should not be used.
