Is it possible to drink alcohol while taking the antibiotic Zinnat?

Good morning, on Wednesday I tore out eight, got an antibiotic zinnat and took 2 tablets. On Saturday I'm going to a wedding and I'd like to have a drink, can I stop taking an antibiotic? I read on the Internet that taking an antibiotic after pulling out an eight is not necessary. So can I stop taking the medicine? And whether to resume it after this break or permanently interrupt it. Thank you for your reply

Do not stop using the antibiotic prematurely, as this leads to antibiotic resistance and a decrease in the effectiveness of antibacterial drugs. All the more reason not to stop using it and starting the treatment again after a break. If you have started taking an antibiotic, you should continue to use it according to the schedule recommended by your doctor. It is worth being aware that alcohol has not been shown to have a direct effect on the efficacy and safety of cefuroxime contained in Zinnat. The consumption of alcohol in a moderate amount during treatment with this drug is considered relatively safe. Stopping its use ahead of time can have more serious consequences. I would be careful with what Mrs. Aleksandra wrote below. Although alcohol does not affect the effectiveness of the antibiotic, the antibiotic does affect the action of aldehyde dehydrogenase, which makes it more difficult to get rid of the poison alcohol from the body.
