I have a Levosert insert and my period is a week late. Is this normal?

Hello. In January this year, the gynecologist put on my Levosert intrauterine insert, on the ultrasound everything was correct. It wasn't until 2 months after I started having unprotected sex. The period is a week of my time. Is this normal, or should I already be afraid that I may be pregnant.

The use of an intrauterine device usually results in a significant reduction in menstrual bleeding within 3 to 6 months of treatment. In some people, bleeding occurs much less often or even does not appear at all (according to the manufacturer's information, this may affect 20%. Therefore, the absence of bleeding can be normal and does not necessarily mean pregnancy. In case of doubt, a pregnancy test should always be performed.
