Can the bleeding get longer after applying the first Evra patch?

Hello On the first day of my period I applied the contraceptive patch evra. Normally the period lasts 5 days and is very painful, but this time it lasts for 6 days and continues and I do not feel any pain. Is this normal? Should I be afraid?

Yes, the change in the abundance of bleeding or accompanying symptoms may change with the use of hormonal contraception. Extending the duration of bleeding after applying the first patch is typical and should not be alarming. The situation should stabilize in the next 3-4 months of using the patches.
