All conditions described as "reimbursement range" for Ozempic must be met cumulatively. Only in the part where the word "or" appears in the description must one of the given conditions be met. This means that hbA1c must reach 8 percent or more in a given patient and this is a prerequisite for receiving a discount. As a reminder, the reimbursement indications of Ozempic are: type 2 diabetes, in patients before insulin inclusion, treated with at least two oral hypoglycemic drugs for at least 6 months, with HbA1c ≥ 8%, with obesity defined as BMI ≥35 kg / m2 and very high cardiovascular risk understood as: 1) confirmed cardiovascular disease, or 2) damage to other organs manifested by: proteinuria or left ventricular hypertrophy or retinopathy, or 3)the presence of 2 or more of the main risk factors listed below: -age ≥ 55 years for men, ≥60 years for women, -dyslipidemia, -hypertension, -smoking.
