The doctor changed my medication for hypertension and coronary heart disease to Dipperam and Vivacor - is this a good change?

I have hypertension and ischemic heart disease (I am after the so-called silent heart attack) and a high pulse of about 90-100.The doctor changed my medication from Pyramil 10 mg, Agen 5 mg and Hydrochlorothiazidum 25 mg to Dipperam 10+160+25 mg and Vivacor 25 mg 2 times a day to reduce pressure and pulse. Is such a change appropriate?

Unfortunately, I am not able to answer your question. The attending physician knows your results and condition best, therefore he also knows best whether such a change of treatment is appropriate. I can only explain to you that previously your drugs contained ramipril, amlodipine and hydrochlorothiazide, and now they contain: carvedilol, amlodipine, hydrochlorothiazide and valsartan, so some substances have remained the same and some have changed. On the plus side, now there are 2 preparations (including 1 composed of 3 substances), and before that there were 3 preparations, so it is always less drugs that need to be remembered. Treatment of hypertension and ischemic heart disease usually involves the use of several different drugs and should be selected individually for the patient.
