The daughter on Wednesday was supposed to start the 3rd dose of Broncho vaxom. She has had a runny nose for several days, a cough appeared, conjunctivitis, she is in quarantine, she got a referral for a test. The pediatrician will state that the 3rd dose should be given later (not on time) as the child will be healthy. Broncho Vaxom was recorded by an ENT specialist who said that it can be administered even with an antibiotic, the same is in the leaflet. Will extending the duration of the 3rd dose affect the effectiveness?

The administration of the drug Broncho-Vaxom can be continued during antibiotic therapy. Continue, that is, continue to take if you have already started taking the capsules, while the daughter has not yet started taking 3 series - she is in the middle of a break. If the infection appeared, suppose on 3 capsules, then yes - you could continue the therapy. So I agree with the opinion of the pediatrician that the 3rd dose should be given later when the child is healthy. Extending the interval between cycles may affect the effectiveness of therapy, so I think that in the spring it will be necessary to start the whole cycle again, not ending the current 3 dose, but the final decision is always made by the doctor taking into account the state of health and the well-being of the patient.
