Can ramipril be replaced by another medicine with another active substance in the right dosage?
I have been taking ramipril 5mg every day for 8 years. I am currently in a country where this active substance is not available. Since I am going to stay a few more weeks, and I am running out of supplies brought from Polish, I would like to ask if this drug can be replaced with another and in what dosage?

Witam.Mieszkam in Munich and here I take RamiLich.A when I forgot to Pl Doctor wrote Rapril.Czyli the same active substance. I take a year and I have tinnitus nonstop,now problems with the stomach. I'm thinking about withdrawal. And after such a long taking, Mrs. majakies regular examinations and everything is in order?

A drug with a new active substance and a new dose can only be prescribed by a doctor familiar with the patient's state of health. The pharmacist, within his capabilities - can not choose another active substance for hypertension, choose its dose and write prescriptions for it, because he does not have the competence to diagnose patients. It can only give a replacement, that is, a preparation with the same composition. I encourage you to consult a doctor in the country where you are located.
