Amlozek does not affect the level of calcium in the blood. It is a drug that blocks calcium channels and affects the level of calcium in the cells of the arteries, causing their diastole, which reduces blood pressure. The preparation contains the substance amlodipine belonging to a group of drugs called calcium antagonists (or calcium channel blockers), which reduce the penetration of calcium ions into muscle cells.
