If I have diarrhoea after Pentasa, should I stop taking it?

Diarrhea is one of the common side effects of Pentasa. According to the manufacturer - the mere occurrence of diarrhea does not have a significant impact on the effectiveness of therapy: "Pathophysiological changes observed during the active phase of the disease, such as diarrhea and increased acidity within the intestine, only slightly affect the delivery of mesalazine to the intestinal mucosa."
