Diprophos contains a strong anti-inflammatory glucocorticosteroid betamethasone. It is used, m.in, as a so-called blockade consisting in intra-articular administration of a drug to relieve pain. The mechanism of action of intraarticular steroids is to reduce inflammation in the joint, which contributes to the relief of pain.
