Is Melilax enough if I have to make an ingot before the first proctological examination?

Is Melilax enough if I have to make an ingot before the first proctological examination (it is possible that it will be a speculum test)? Should a "stronger" proctanal enema be used? I will add that I do not suffer from constipation, I defecate regularly, but I suspect hemorrhoids or fissure and do not want to harm myself with a proctanal enema ingot.

As I understand it, you received a specific recommendation to clean the anus before the examination - in this situation, it seems that the operator (doctor) should explain what exactly you can expect at the visit and indicate what product (but also at what interval before the examination) you should prepare. General recommendations before the usual proctological examination are that before the visit you should take care of defecation and washing the area. A patient with problems with defecation can help himself with preparations available in the pharmacy. However, in the case of rectoscopy, i.e. endoscopic examination of the rectum, a speculum (rectoscope) is inserted into the final section of the large intestine. Such an examination requires preparation by cleansing the large intestine with a preparation such as Rectanal or Enema. Otherwise, residual fecal masses will prevent proper imaging. If you are actually to have a rectoscopic examination, then the Melilax ingot may be inappropriate - the product contains, among others, a complex of honeys and polysaccharides from aloe and mallow, a water-glycerin mixture, lemon juice and lavender essential oil. I suppose that these components may adversely affect the optics of the device, and perhaps also (through the "coating and protecting" action) make it difficult to observe possible changes. In case of doubts about preparing for the examination, I suggest asking directly in the office to which you are going.
