Should I take a probiotic when I take an antibiotic twice a day?

Good morning, I have to take the antibiotic Amoksiklav twice a day. Two weeks ago I finished taking Tetralysal. Can it somehow negatively affect? I am still wondering if I should take probiotics if I should take Amoksiklav for a week, in the morning and in the evening.

Up to @ClindaHEXL600 mg of Antibioticum:

The probiotic (shield) should be used according to the manufacturer's recommendations on the leaflet of the preparation. Unfortunately, you did not give the name of the shield you are taking, so I cannot give you an exact answer.

For @Mika: Usually, probiotic preparations should be taken in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations in the leaflet or on the packaging. I would recommend starting the treatment from the lowest indicated dose, e.g. in the case of Dicoflor 6 and Vivomixx capsules, take 1 capsule a day. If you observe any disturbing symptoms from the digestive system, you can increase the number of capsules taken to 2 per day. Below you can compare the prices of the aforementioned Dicoflor 6 and Vivomixx in online pharmacies and place an order with home delivery or collection at the pharmacy: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/107701/dicoflor-6-kapsulki/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/89923/vivomixx-kapsulki/apteki

Hi I have a question. I am currently pregnant today I started taking an antibiotic 3x a day. My question is how many times a day I can take a probiotic (buying dicoflor acidolac floridal or loggic) but I wonder about the dosage. After antibiotic therapy, he will use a multi-strain preparation eg (vivomox, sanorobi, symbiolact, lactibiane or swanaon epic pro) The question is only how many capsules eg dicloflor and how many after antibiotic therapy polyspains. Please help.

The use of antibiotics can lead to disorders of the intestinal bacterial flora and thus post-antibiotic diarrhea and abdominal pain. In addition, the risk of fungal infections of the oral mucosa or intimate infections may also increase. To prevent this, it is worth using appropriate probiotics during antibiotic therapy. When taking an antibiotic, it is recommended to use single-strain probiotics containing the yeast Saccharomyces boulardii (e.g. Enterol) or Lactobacillus GG bacteria (e.g. Dicoflor), which have the best documented effects. After completing the treatment, it is worth including a multi-strain probiotic, e.g. Multilac, which will help enrich the intestinal bacterial flora (for a period of at least 2-3 weeks). Below I attach links to pages where you can compare the prices of these probiotics in online pharmacies and place an order with home delivery or collection at the pharmacy: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/27293/enterol-250-kapsulki/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/107701/dicoflor-6-kapsulki/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/50697/multilac-synbiotyk-kapsulki/apteki I also encourage you to read our article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/probiotyki-czy-warto-stosowac-leki-oslonowe
