Przy stosowaniu antykoncepcji nie ma znaczenia to, że miesiączka się spóźnia. Kluczowe jest tylko naklejenie pierwszego plastra w pierwszym dniu krwawienia - niezależnie od jego terminu. Plastry nie są "czułe" na spóźniający się okres - w żaden sposób nie kontrolują tego, że krwawienie, podczas którego są naklejane jest opóźnione.
