Is it possible to take Finlepsin Retard instead of Tegretol CR 200?

Is it possible to take Finlepsin retard instead of Tegretol CR 200? Is it better Finlepsin retard or half Tegrotol 400?

Karbamazepina należy do leków o wąskim indeksie terapeutycznym, więc standardowo nie należy jej zamieniać. Aktualnie jednak występują problemy z dostępnością Tegretolu i ważniejsze jest, żeby pacjent kontynuował terapię, niż ją przerwał w oczekiwaniu na lek oryginalny.

Jeśli jest taka możliwość to rekomendowałabym podzielenie tabletki Tegretolu CR 400mg, a dopiero w drugiej kolejności zastosować zamiennik w postaci Finlepsinu Retard.

Tegretol CR wstępuje w formie tabletki o zmodyfikowanym uwalnianiu, a Finlepsin Retard to tabletka o przedłużonym uwalnianiu. Nie są to formy równoważne. Lek o przedłużonym uwalnianiu uwalnia lek ze stała szybkością np. od żołądka po jelito, natomiast lek o zmodyfikowanym uwalnianiu może uwalniać cześć dawki szybciej, a pozostałą stopniowo (system wielofazowy – bardziej złożony profil uwalniania).
