Does the concomitant use of pregabalin and antihistamines cause drowsiness?
Hi, for a long time during the day I take, among other things, 1 tablet of Lirra 5mg, and two tablets of 150 mg Of Pregabalin Accord (I buy a replacement), one in the morning, one evening. I've been struggling with sleepiness and sleeping during the day for a long time, sleepiness gets me at work, as I come from work I often fall asleep later in the afternoon and then wake up at night to bed and go to sleep further. I do not hide that this fatigue and drowsiness is very tiring, on weekends when I sleep longer than a week the same thing happens most often. I read that these two drugs interfere with each other, which can cause drowsiness. Is it possible that it will pass me or do I need to see a doctor to change the medication/ dose / time of taking medication? Best regards.

W czasie jednoczesnego stosowania pregabaliny i lewocetyryzyny (Lirra) może występować nadmierna senność, zawroty głowy czy trudności z koncentracją. W przypadku, gdy opisywana senność pojawiła się wraz z rozpoczęciem stosowania wyżej wymienionych leków, jest mało prawdopodobne, że bez wprowadzenia zmian w schemacie leczenia dolegliwości ustąpią.
Warto zasięgnąć w tym przypadku porady lekarza. Być może zdecyduje on o modyfikacji schematu dawkowania, np. zaleci przyjmowanie leku Lirra wieczorem. W sytuacji, gdy konieczne jest jednoczesne stosowanie pregabaliny i leku przeciwhistaminowego (np. Lirra) i leki te u danego pacjenta wywołują nadmierną senność, lekarze często decydują się na zmianę leku przeciwhistaminowego na inną substancję z tej samej grupy, obserwując jednocześnie, czy skutki uboczne w postaci senności ulegną złagodzeniu.
