Zarówno Mesopral, jak i Controloc zawierają substancje chemiczne z tej samej grupy terapeutycznej - inhibitorów pompy protonowej. Mesopral to preparat z esomeprazolem, a Controloc zawiera pantoprazol, pomimo, że są to różne cząsteczki, to ich mechanizm działania jest taki sam - zmniejszają produkcję kwasu solnego w żołądku. Nie ma uzasadnienia dla ich łącznego przyjmowania. Należy przyjmować tylko jeden z tych leków, w przypadku choroby przewlekłej najlepiej o składzie i w dawce uzgodnionej z lekarzem.
