Średni okres półtrwania dabigatranu - substancji czynnej leku Pradaxa - w fazie eliminacji wynosił u zdrowych ochotników w podeszłym wieku 11 godzin. Jest to czas, po którym stężenie leku we krwi spada o połowę.

Po podaniu wielokrotnym okres półtrwania w fazie eliminacji wynosił od około 12 do 14 godzin.

Jeśli natomiast chodzi o zmianę leku Pradaxa na Vessel Due F, to farmaceuci nie podejmują tego typu decyzji, w związku z czym w tej sprawie należy ponownie zwrócić się do lekarza, np. telefonicznie:
