Lek Plaquenil należy stosować regularnie i zgodnie z zaleceniami lekarza. Pominięcie dawki nie powinno się zdarzyć, jednakże gdyby wystąpiło, należy przyjąć dawkę leku jak najszybciej jest to możliwe. Nie należy stosować podwójnej dawki w celu uzupełnienia stosowania leku ze względu na zwiększone ryzyko wystąpienia działań niepożądanych (jak np. nieregularne bicie serca):
