Tadalafil and sildenafil belong to the same therapeutic group - strong selective phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors, which support the relaxation of smooth muscles in the corpora cavernosa, causing an increase in blood flow to the penis during sexual arousal. The biggest difference between these substances is the duration of action of the drugs.
After taking the sildenafil tablet, the effect lasts for an average of 6 hours, while tadalafil works much longer - up to 36 hours, of course, provided that you are sexually stimulated (this does not mean a continuous erection, but only an erection when aroused). On average, the onset of action occurs after 30 minutes for sildenafil and 20 minutes for tadalafil. Therefore, these preparations are taken about 30 minutes before intercourse.
