Nie, aktualnie obowiązujące schematy szczepień wymagają podania drugiej dawki tej samej szczepionki. Mieszany schemat szczepień dopiero zostanie przebadany. Na ten moment nie wiadomo, jakie mogłyby być skutki stosowania szczepionek różnych producentów zamiennie.

Badanie Com-Cov (Comparing COVID-19 Vaccine Schedule Combinations) zaprojektowano, aby przetestować schemat szczepień uwzględniający podanie dwóch różnych szczepionek. Jest to pierwsze takie badanie i będzie prowadzone w Wielkiej Brytanii.
