Zgodnie z decyzją GIF z dnia 25 lutego br. na wniosek podmiotu odpowiedzialnego, wszystkie serie leku Nitroxolin Forte zostały wycofane z obrotu na terenie Polski.
Powodem jest zanieczyszczenie substancji czynnej 5,7-Dinitro-8- quinolinol (DNC) - substancją mutagenną. Przyjmowanie preparatu może w skrajnych przypadkach stanowić zagrożenie dla życia i zdrowia pacjenta. Decyzja ma rygor natychmiastowego wykonania, pacjenci leczeni tym środkiem powinni po konsultacji z lekarzem zaprzestać jego przyjmowania i zwrócić lek do apteki lub poddać go utylizacji.

Ponieważ lek nie posiada dostępnych zamienników, należy skontaktować się z lekarzem w celu zmiany sposobu leczenia.
