Primolut-Nor and Exacyl usually reduce bleeding, but the effect is not always immediate. In some people, improvement appears after 2-3 days, but with heavy bleeding, sometimes a change in treatment or gynecological control is needed.
If after 2 days of Exacyl there is no improvement and the bleeding is still heavy (e.g. soaking of the sanitary pad every 1-2 hours, clots, weakness), this is a signal that the treatment may be insufficient and requires contact with the gynaecologist again – preferably urgently. Sometimes it is necessary to increase the dose, change hormone therapy or diagnose the cause of bleeding.
If symptoms such as dizziness, weakness, paleness, palpitations or shortness of breath appear, you should go to the emergency room or night help, as this may indicate that you have lost too much blood.
Please do not stop Primolute on your own, as abrupt discontinuation may further increase bleeding. The most important thing is to quickly contact your doctor again and inform him that after 2 days of Exacyl there is no improvement.
