Eliquis is free for seniors only if the senior has indications for reimbursement.
Reimbursement indications:
Venous thromboembolic complications in adult patients after elective total hip arthroplasty (up to 38 days after alloplasty) or knee arthroplasty (up to 14 days after alloplasty) - primary prevention;
Treatment of deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism and prevention of recurrent deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.
