As a professional, I advise you to refrain from supplementing with bee pollen until you have directly consulted the oncologist conducting your therapy. In oncology, the key principle is to minimize supplements that may unknowingly interfere with the body's hormonal balance.
While direct chemical interactions are not widely documented in the medical literature, there are two key reasons why such supplementation may not be advisable:
Proestrogenic effects: Etruzil is an aromatase inhibitor whose task is to reduce estrogen levels in the body as much as possible to inhibit the development of hormone-dependent tumors. Some studies suggest that bee products (including pollen and royal jelly) may have a weak phytostrogenic effect (mimic female hormones). Taking a substance with such potential can theoretically weaken the therapeutic effect of Etruzil and counteract the treatment process.
Effects on hepatic metabolism: Letrozole is metabolized by cytochrome P450 isoenzymes (mainly CYP3A4 and CYP2A6). Concentrated natural supplements, such as bee pollen, contain hundreds of biologically active compounds that can affect the activity of these enzymes by altering the concentration of the drug in the blood and increasing its toxicity or weakening its efficacy.
