What to do to reduce bruising after the Mounjaro injection?
After the mounjaro injection, I get red petechiae and then bruises, is there any ointment or activities that should be done before the injection to alleviate these petechiae

Ecchymosis/bruising may occur in case of incorrect technique of Mounjaro injection (too fast administration of the drug, injection constantly in the same place, too much skin tension). It is worth changing the injection site and performing the injection itself slowly. It is also worth avoiding places where bruises have previously occurred (there may be more blood vessels in this area). You can also try using other needles (preferably smaller ones if you are currently using larger sizes). If pain/redness occurs at the injection site, you can apply a cool compress and use, for example, arnica gel. Usually, bruising after injection goes away on its own and is not a serious side effect. If the symptoms get worse, consult a doctor.
