Hello, the child has purulent angina with a temperature of 39, the child is 9 years old with a weight of 42.8 kg. The pediatrician prescribed Amoxiclav 1000 mg 3 times a day every 8 hours for 10 days. After three days, the temperature dropped, today is the fifth day of pus, there is no swelling either, a slightly red throat. Isn't the dose too much for the child, please advise whether the dose is correctly prescribed and whether it is worth taking 10 days can reduce it by 7 days?
