Is it normal to have a stomach ache during a meal while taking Mounjaro?
Good evening I'm doing monujaro 2.5 injections and I always have abdominal pain while eating, little, of course. In a week I will have to switch to the dose of 5. But are these abdominal pains normal? And I'm just at the beginning of the treatment!thank you

Patients starting treatment with Mounjaro very often experience stomach pain, which is due to the mechanism of action of the drug (delayed emptying of the stomach, retention of contents in the digestive tract). As a rule, the ailments are strongest in the first weeks of taking the drug and gradually subside provided that dietary rules are followed (small volumes of food, avoiding fatty, heavy, fried, sweet foods).
