When wholesalers secure menopausal/perimenopausal women with a product that must be taken regularly. You can't get the product in Gdansk. Prescriptions are expired - we pay for visits to the gynecologist to have a prescription, but they cannot be fulfilled. Why is there no replacement? What is the reason for such low availability.

The current shortages of the Systen series (e.g. Conti, Sequi) are mainly due to production and logistics problems on the manufacturer's side, which translates into deficits in wholesalers throughout the country, including Gdańsk.
Unfortunately, these patches have a specific composition or hormone release system, which means that in the same form of administration (patch) they often do not have direct, identical substitutes. Substitutes exist in other forms of estrogen (e.g. gels, aerosols or oral preparations), but this requires consultation with a doctor and a new prescription. In this situation, it is worth contacting a doctor to choose an alternative therapy.
