Hello. Can I use Pronasal 2x1 and Otrivin for children 3x1 at the same time in a 6-year-old child? The allergist prescribed Otrivin Allergy, but I made a mistake and bought a regular one for children. The doctor prescribed a spray for the stuffy nose. The effect will probably be a little worse than with Otrivin Allergy ?

Otrivin for children and Otrivin Allergy are preparations with different compositions, so they should not be used interchangeably.
Otrivin for children can also be used at the same time as Pronasal.
Otrivin for children contains xylometazoline, which constricts blood vessels and unclogs the nose. This preparation should be used for a short time - up to a maximum of 7 days (e.g. in the course of a cold). Prolonged use can lead to irritation of the nasal mucosa and to the so-called drug-induced rhinitis, i.e. a situation in which the nose remains clogged without the use of a spray.
Otrivin Allergy contains dimethinde, which has anti-allergic properties, and phenylephrine, which, like xylometazoline, constricts the nasal mucosa and reduces watery rhinitis. This preparation is also not recommended for more than 7 days.
