Hello. Today is the 21st day of my cycle, on December 25th, during my period, I had intercourse with my partner. It was a secured relationship. Today, during penetration after a visit to the toilet, I saw blood. What it could mean

The appearance of blood after intercourse in this phase of the cycle (the so-called contact bleeding) is most often due to mechanical irritation of the delicate mucous membrane of the vagina or cervix, which may have occurred during today's penetration. Another common cause is a drop in hormone levels in the second half of the cycle, leading to minor premenstrual spotting, or a possible infection of the genital tract.

Given that intercourse on December 25 was secured, the risk of pregnancy is negligible. If the blood is bright red and the bleeding subsides quickly, it usually does not require urgent intervention, however, with repeated incidents or accompanying pain, a gynecological consultation is necessary to rule out erosion or polyps.
