In this situation, I encourage you to immediately consult a pediatrician, because the severity of diarrhea after nifuroxazide may indicate a viral or other cause, not bacterial, which requires discontinuation of this drug and evaluation of the child's state of dehydration.
Recenum Baby (racecadotril) administered at a dose of 3x1 sachet is slightly below the recommended dose for 14 kg (2 sachets 3x/day for 9-13 kg, adjusted to 1.5 mg/kg/dose).
Tasectan Baby can be given together with Recenum Baby, because they work differently and complement each other. However, it is worth keeping a time interval of about 30-60 minutes to avoid adsorption interactions.
Tasectan Baby for a child 3-14 years old is used in a dose of 1-2 sachets every 6 hours until the symptoms disappear (max a few days), always with oral hydration (e.g. ORS) and the BRAT diet; Do not exceed doses and watch your stool.
