Levoxa Summary of Product Characteristics recommends caution when used in patients with severe heart disease (heart attack, heart failure). Minor cardiac complaints are not a contraindication to taking Levoxy, unless there has been a hypersensitivity reaction to this particular active substance or its derivatives in the past. Any medicine can cause side effects, but not every patient will experience side effects. The most commonly observed ailments during antibiotic treatment concern the gastrointestinal tract (diarrhea, abdominal pain), so probiotics should be taken as a shield during treatment.
