Telmisartan is not suitable for emergency use in sudden blood pressure spikes.
It is a drug that works best when taken regularly, daily, because its effect develops gradually and lasts for a long time. Taking it "from time to time" will not lower blood pressure quickly and may give a false sense of security.

If you have episodes of sudden blood pressure rises, you should continue to take Telmisartan regularly every day at a fixed time, and if you have frequent spikes, talk to your doctor if you need to change your dose or add a medicine that works more quickly.

If the blood pressure exceeds 180/110 mmHg or is accompanied by serious symptoms (chest pain, shortness of breath, severe headache, visual disturbances), you need to seek medical help urgently.
