Preparation for a colonoscopy with Citrafleet includes taking the first dose in the evening of the day before the test, at approximately 9:00 p.m. The second dose of the drug should be started about 4.5 hours before the planned colonoscopy, i.e. around 4:30 in the morning, to finish taking the preparation.

After 10 minutes of taking the solution reconstituted from the sachet, you should drink about 1.5-2 liters of various clear liquids in the amount of about 250-400 ml per hour. It is recommended to drink clear soups and balanced drinks of electrolyte solutions. It is not recommended to drink only pure or demineralized water. It is important to be on an empty stomach and not to eat foods before the test.
