Levoxa is not a steroid, it is an antibacterial drug that acts on a wide range of pathogenic microorganisms.
Glaucoma has not been listed as a contraindication to Levoxa.
Contraindications listed in the summary of product characteristics:
'Levoxa, film-coated tablets must not be used:
• in patients with hypersensitivity to levofloxacin or other quinolones, or to any of the excipients
• in patients with epilepsy
• in patients with a history of tendonitis that has been associated with fluoroquinolones
• in children and adolescents in the period of growth
• in pregnant patients
• in breastfeeding women.
