Yes — abdominal pain, stomach discomfort or nausea can be a side effect of Sotahexal (sotalol) — e.g. abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, indigestion, bloating, dry mouth mucosa in the dossier.

If the pain is severe, persistent or accompanied by other symptoms (e.g. vomiting, loss of appetite, bleeding, worsening of arrhythmia) – contact your doctor immediately. If you are not able to use a stationary visit, I attach a link to the online teleconsultation:

It is also worth checking whether the medication was taken with or without food – sometimes taking sotalol while eating can reduce stomach irritation – and avoid the concomitant use of medications or substances that irritate the mucous membrane (e.g. alcohol, strong coffee, spicy foods).

If the pain is mild and goes away, you can be observed, but it is still worth telling your doctor to assess whether the dose is appropriate and whether changes in therapy or additional tests are necessary.
