Why do I get a headache while taking flunarizine?

If you do not feel the effects of the treatment despite using the drug as prescribed by your doctor, I encourage you to consult your doctor and describe the ailments you are experiencing.

Flunarizine is a drug used in the prevention of classic migraine (with aura) or ordinary migraine (without aura) and in the symptomatic treatment of vestibular dizziness (caused by diagnosed vestibular disorders). Headache has not been reported among its side effects, but each body responds to treatment individually. If you have just started using this medicine, it is possible that the symptoms will go away over time.

If you are taking this medicine to prevent migraines and you think that your migraine is coming back despite taking flunarizine, you should tell your doctor who will recommend a different treatment, for example, if you have already been using it for a sufficient amount of time to see improvement (1 month for chronic dizziness or 2 months for the prevention of paroxysmal dizziness or sudden migraine attacks).
