Hello, do you think this cream is suitable for my caesarean scar and for a scar that my three-year-old son has on his forehead? Is this good for making it thinner and less visible or is a totally silicone-based cream better?

Contratubex cream, containing onion extract, heparin and allantoin, is an effective preparation for caesarean section scars that has an anti-inflammatory effect, softens the scar and improves its appearance, making it smoother and less visible. It can also be used on scars in children, but in the case of immature skin of a child, it is worth consulting a pediatrician first.
An alternative is silicone-based creams or patches, which are also a recognized and very effective method of softening and reducing scars, especially fresh ones. Both types of preparations work well, but Contratubex is recommended for long-term scar care with a visible smoothing effect, and silicone primarily as a protection and maintenance of moisturizing the skin of the scar. The choice also depends on the individual tolerance of the skin.
